Proceed Transparant Cracking Glaze is a single - step, clear cracking glaze that generates a transparent porcelain crackle patina. Transparent Cracking Glaze may also be used over Cracking Size to produce larger cracking patterns. Use a layer of Cracking Size first if flaking off of the craqueled pattern is experienced. Tintable with Golden Fluid Acrylics  or dry pigments to a maximum of 10% or blend with Proceed Metallic Mediums. Recommended for rigid substrates only. Test mixes and sample boards should always be employed to ensure compatibility, level of cracking and adhesion performance. Glazing of an already cracked finish is also a possibility to add colour to this finish. This product can be used as a transparant cracking system where the cracks are coloured after the crackingpatterns have appeared by means of some Proceed Slow Drying colour applied with a brush and wiped off with a clean and dry cloth. If you want to have an opaque cracking effect : paint the base in a colour and tint the transparant Cracking glaze in another colour : the cracks will have the colour of the basepaint shining through the cracks.

If  flaking off is experienced : used a preliminary coat of Proceed Cracking Size and respect the drying time of 1 - 4 hours before applying the Transparant Cracking Glaze.

It is recommended NOT to force the drying of this product.
